How the Team Operates

How We Deliver Compliant Fire Protection

Our team operates within a structured delivery framework designed to remove uncertainty and maintain control at every stage of the works. From initial assessment through to final certification, responsibilities are clearly defined and quality is continuously verified.

Technical Assessment & Specification

Steel sections are accurately measured, fire-resistance requirements confirmed and systems specified to suit the structure, environment and programme. This ensures the correct solution is applied from the outset.

Controlled Application & Monitoring

Intumescent coatings are applied by trained operatives using controlled airless spray methods. Wet Film Thickness is monitored throughout application, with environmental conditions checked and logged to maintain system integrity.

Quality Assurance & Certification

Inspection and verification take place throughout the works, not just at completion. Records are compiled into a clear compliance pack, with certification issued to support building control approval and client assurance.

Accountability & Assurance

Clear Accountability on Every Project

Fire protection demands accountability. Every project is overseen by experienced supervision, supported by documented procedures and quality records. This structure ensures that responsibility is clearly defined, decisions are traceable and compliance can be demonstrated at any stage of the project.

FAQ

Common Questions About Our Team

This section answers the questions we’re most often asked about our people, training and site accountability. Fire protection is only as reliable as the team delivering it, so we place strong emphasis on competence, supervision and clearly defined responsibility on every project.
Who carries responsibility for compliance on site?

Each project is overseen by experienced supervision with clear responsibility for compliance, quality and coordination. Accountability is defined from mobilisation through to certification.

Are your operatives trained specifically for intumescent coatings?

Yes. Our operatives are trained in intumescent coating application, airless spraying techniques and Wet Film Thickness monitoring, supported by ongoing competency refreshers.

What qualifications does your team hold?

Our team holds relevant site and supervisory qualifications including CSCS, IPAF and supervisory training, alongside role-specific competence for fire-protection works.

How do you ensure consistency across different sites and teams?

We operate to standardised processes supported by documented procedures, supervision and QA checks. This ensures the same level of control and consistency regardless of project size or location.

Who carries out WFT monitoring and quality checks?

WFT monitoring and in-process checks are carried out by trained personnel as part of the application process, with records maintained as part of the project quality documentation.

How is supervision maintained on live construction sites?

Supervision is maintained throughout the works to manage sequencing, interface with other trades and ensure site rules, safety controls and quality standards are consistently applied.

Do you use subcontract labour or directly managed teams?

Works are delivered by teams operating under our management systems, supervision and quality controls, ensuring accountability and alignment with our standards.

How do you manage training and ongoing competence?

Competence is maintained through a combination of formal qualifications, manufacturer guidance, internal training and continuous performance monitoring on site.

How do you ensure operatives understand project-specific requirements?

Before works begin, teams are briefed on project-specific RAMS, specifications and sequencing. This ensures everyone understands the requirements and their responsibilities before application starts.

What happens if issues are identified during works?

Any issues are addressed immediately through supervision, corrective action and re-verification where required. This approach prevents problems from carrying through to completion or certification.
