Project-specific requirements are applied through the agreed scope, RAMS, site arrangements and quality documentation for each contract.

Why Governance Matters in Fire Protection

Policies establish consistent arrangements for managing health and safety, environmental responsibilities, conduct, competence and quality. On individual projects, those arrangements must still be translated into suitable project-specific controls.

Our policies support:

Planning and controlling work on active construction sites

Meeting applicable company and project responsibilities

Applying accepted project and manufacturer requirements

They support operational decisions from mobilisation and site delivery through to inspection and handover.
Policy Framework

How Our Governance Is Organised

Our governance is organised across four operational areas so that responsibilities, controls and supporting documents can be understood and applied consistently.

It also helps clients and principal contractors identify the company arrangements relevant to pre-qualification, mobilisation and delivery.

Health & Safety

Our health-and-safety arrangements cover risk assessment, supervision, PPE, incident reporting and emergency planning. Project-specific controls are developed through RAMS and coordinated with the site’s management arrangements.

Environmental Management

Our environmental policy sets expectations for waste, pollution prevention, material handling and reducing avoidable environmental impact. The controls used on site depend on the products, activities and project conditions.

Ethical and Responsible Business

Our governance includes modern-slavery, anti-bribery, equality and conduct expectations. Relevant requirements are communicated to employees, contractors and suppliers working within our operations.

Quality, Competence & Records

Our quality arrangements address competence, training, document control, complaints and improvement. Project QA requirements are then defined for the agreed work scope, including the application and inspection records to be produced.

From the Founder

“After a decade in the protective coatings industry, I built FireCoatings to deliver fire protection without unnecessary noise — just clear documentation, a controlled application process, and professional site practice.”

Managing Director
Project Responsibilities
Company policies support the controlled delivery of our work, but they do not by themselves establish that a building or fire-protection design complies with Building Regulations.

FireCoatings works from the accepted fire strategy, structural information, selected system documentation and agreed project scope. Regulatory compliance and approval remain matters for the relevant designers, dutyholders and building-control process.
