Structural Steel Fire Protection Projects

Explore examples of our structural-steel preparation and intumescent coating work across commercial, industrial, refurbishment and live working environments. Each case study explains the defined FireCoatings scope and relevant project constraints.
Project Controls

How We Control Our Application Scope

Our work is planned against the accepted project information and selected coating system. Application checks and records are then completed for the agreed FireCoatings work scope.

Defined

Accepted Project Requirements

Fire-resistance periods, member information and system requirements reviewed before application.

Monitored

Application Conditions and WFT

Relevant site conditions and wet coating build recorded during the agreed application scope.

Checked

Dry Film Thickness

DFT assessed after sufficient drying against the accepted member-specific schedule, where included in our scope.

Documented

Project QA and Handover

Records prepared to show the materials, checks and work areas covered by the agreed FireCoatings scope.

01. Project Review

Available drawings, schedules, access requirements, steel condition and project constraints are reviewed.

02. Scope Confirmation

The accepted system, member schedule, application targets and responsibilities are confirmed before work begins.

03. Surface Preparation

The preparation method is agreed from the substrate condition, existing coatings and selected system requirements.

04. Application & Records

Coatings are applied in controlled coats, with relevant application checks and records completed for the agreed scope.
