3. Purpose of this website

This website provides general information about FireCoatings, our services and subjects connected with structural steel fire protection, intumescent coatings and surface preparation.

The content is intended to help clients, contractors and project teams understand the services we provide. It is not project-specific fire engineering, structural engineering, regulatory, legal or specification advice.

4. Technical information

The appropriate fire-protection solution for a project depends on factors including:

  • the accepted fire strategy;
  • structural design;
  • required fire-resistance period;
  • steel section sizes and section factors;
  • exposure conditions;
  • substrate and existing coating condition;
  • the selected coating system;
  • product certification and tested or assessed scope;
  • manufacturer requirements; and
  • the applicable regulatory route.

The relevant requirements must be established by the project’s competent designers and dutyholders.

You should not select or specify a fire-protection system solely on the basis of general information published on this website.

Where appropriate, obtain project-specific advice from the relevant fire engineer, structural engineer, responsible designer, product manufacturer or other suitably competent professional.

5. Accuracy of information

We take reasonable care when preparing and maintaining the website. However, legislation, standards, product information, certification and industry guidance may change.

We do not guarantee that every page will always be complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular project.

Images, case studies and project descriptions are provided for general illustration. Results, methods, constraints and project requirements vary.

If you believe any information is inaccurate or out of date, please contact us.

6. Enquiries and quotations

Submitting a website form, sending an email or requesting a quotation does not create a contract or oblige either party to proceed.

We may need further information, drawings, specifications, access details, surveys or manufacturer input before confirming whether we can undertake a project.

Any initial indication of price, programme, availability or technical suitability is subject to confirmation in writing.

A contract for services is formed only when a quotation, order or other agreement is accepted in accordance with its stated terms.

7. Website availability

We may update, suspend, restrict or withdraw any part of the website without notice.

We do not guarantee that the website or its content will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the website unlawfully or fraudulently;
  • provide deliberately false information through our forms;
  • interfere with the website’s security or operation;
  • introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or connected systems;
  • extract substantial amounts of website content using automated tools without permission;
  • impersonate another person or organisation; or
  • use our content in a misleading way or suggest an endorsement that does not exist.

9. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website and its content—including text, branding, graphics, photographs and page design—are owned by or licensed to NuColour Ltd and are protected by intellectual-property law.

You may view and print reasonable extracts for your own internal consideration of our services.

You must not reproduce, republish, sell, modify or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.

This website may contain links to manufacturers, regulators, accreditation bodies, social-media platforms and other third parties.
