Key Responsibilities
- Application of intumescent coatings to structural steel using airless spray equipment
- Surface preparation including cleaning, mechanical abrasion and priming
- Monitoring and recording wet film thickness (WFT) in line with specifications
- Maintaining clean, controlled work areas and protecting adjacent finishes
- Working in accordance with RAMS, site rules and safety procedures
- Completing quality checks and assisting with inspection documentation
- Liaising with site management and other trades to coordinate works
Requirements
- Proven experience applying intumescent or fire-protective coatings
- Strong understanding of surface preparation and coating systems
- Experience using airless spray equipment
- Ability to read and follow technical data sheets and method statements
- CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS (preferred but not essential)
- IPAF / PASMA (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
